Brandy Sauce Recipe

Ingredients
1 1/2 tablespoons cornstarch
1 1/4 cups milk
2 tablespoons sugar, firmly packed
2 tablespoons brandy
2 tablespoons butter
Directions
1 In a 1.2 litre/2 pint (5 cup) mixing bowl, mix the cornflour (cornstarch) with a little milk, until a smooth paste results.
2 Put the remaining milk into a 1 litre/1 3/4 pint (4 1/4 cup) jug and microwave on full power for 1 minute.
3 Pour the heated milk onto the cornflour (cornstarch) mixture, stirring all the time.
4 Return to the jug and microwave on full power for 1-2 minutes, until boiling. Beat well with a balloon whisk.
5 Beat in the sugar, brandy and butter, and serve hot.
