Brandy Drops Recipe
Ingredients
1/2 cup warmed honey
1/4 cup softened butter
1/4 cup oil
1 egg
3 tablespoons brandy
2 to 2 1/3 cups whole wheat flour
3/4 teaspoon soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup raisins
1/2 cup currants
1/2 cup chopped hickory nuts (or chopped English walnuts or pecans)
Directions
Preheat oven to 350° F.
Combine and beat well the honey, butter, oil, egg, and brandy.
Stir together the flour, soda, and salt and add to first mixture, mixing thoroughly.
Stir in the raisins, currants, and nuts.
Drop by the level tablespoonful onto buttered baking sheet.
Bake 12 to 15 minutes.
