Brandied Peach Sundaes Recipe

Ingredients
1/2 teaspoons cornstarch
1/2 teaspoons cold water
Dash of salt
1/2 cup grenadine syrup
1/4 cup brandy
2 medium peaches, cut into halves
1 pint vanilla ice cream
Directions
Mix cornstarch, water and salt in 1-quart saucepan.
Stir in grenadine syrup.
Heat to boiling; reduce heat.
Cook and stir over low heat until thickened, about 3 minutes.
Stir in brandy.
Cover and refrigerate until chilled, about 2 hours.
Place 1 peach half, cut side up, in each of 4 dishes.
Spoon sauce over peaches.
Top with ice cream.
