Brandied Cherries Recipe
Brandied Cherries is an amazingly delicious mouth watering recipe. Serve it at your dinner party; I bet you will have a huge fan following for this one!
Ingredients
3 pounds large black cherries, pitted
3 pounds (6 3/4 cups) sugar
Brandy
Directions
Place cherries in a large pan and cover with sugar.
Let stand an hour or so until juices form.
Cook slowly over low heat for about 20 minutes, or until the cherries are barely tender.
Remove the fruit from the syrup, and if necessary, continue to cook the syrup until it is slightly thickened.
Measure and add 1/4 cup of brandy for every cup of syrup.
Pour over the cherries and seal at once in hot, sterilized jars.
