 2 cupfuls bran
 Soda1 Teaspoon
 Whole wheat flour2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Brown sugar3/4 Cup (16 tbs)
 Powder2 Teaspoon
 Egg1
 Salt1 Teaspoon
 Sour milk1 3/4 Cup (16 tbs)

Directions

Method I.
Mix like Nut Bread and bake in a moderate oven of 375° F. for 1 hr.
Method II.
Beat egg, add sugar and sour milk, then mix in well the sifted dry ingredients.
Pour into greased loaf pan and let stand 1/2 hr.
Bake in moderate oven of 375° F. for 1 hr.
Sweet milk and twice the amount of baking powder may be substituted for sour milk and soda.
