Bran Plus Bread Recipe

1 cake compressed yeast or 1 tablespoon active dry yeast and 1 tablespoon brown sugar

2 1/2 cups warm water

6 cups wholewheat flour

2/3 cup bran

1 tablespoon salt

1 tablespoon butter or shortening
