Bran Cherry Bread Recipe

| Sugar | 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs), divided | |
| Baking powder | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Salt | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Ground nutmeg | 1⁄2 Teaspoon | |
| Oat bran | 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs) (Kellogg's Cracklin) | |
| Skim milk | 1 1⁄4 Cup (20 tbs) | |
| Egg | 1 | |
| Vegetable oil | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Maraschino cherries | 10 Ounce, drained and finely chopped | |
| Chopped walnuts | 1 Cup (16 tbs), divided | |
| Margarine | 1 Tablespoon |

Directions
Set aside.
Measure Kellogg's® Cracklin' Oat Bran® cereal and milk into large mixing bowl.
Let stand 10 minutes or until cereal is softened.
Add egg and oil.
Beat well.
Stir in flour mixture.
Set aside 2 tablespoons chopped cherries.
Fold remaining cherries and 3/4 cup nuts into batter.
Spread in 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan coated with nonstick cooking spray.
Melt margarine in small skillet until bubbly.
Remove from heat.
Stir in remaining 1/4 cup sugar, remaining 1/4 cup nuts and reserved cherries.
Sprinkle over batter.
Bake at 350°F about 1 hour.
Cool in pan on wire rack 10 minutes.
Remove from pan.
