Braised Tongue Recipe
I have perfected this wonderful Braised Tongue recipe in no time. It is always prepared with Meat as the most essential ingredient. Spread the taste by sharing this Braised Tongue recipe with your friends.
Ingredients
1 beef tongue
stock to cover
8 slices bacon
6 carrots, diced
1 onion, chopped
1 teaspoon basil
1 teaspoon savory
1 teaspoon rosemary
1 tablespoon parsley, minced
1 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons nutritional yeast
2 cloves, whole
Directions
Cover tongue with stock.
Simmer for 1 hour.
Remove skin.
Arrange 4 slices of bacon at bottom of deep saucepan.
Lay tongue on top.
Cover with remaining 4 slices of bacon.
Add rest of ingredients and 1 cup of stock in which tongue was cooked.
Cover and continue simmering until thoroughly cooked.
Split tongue down middle and surround with vegetables.
Simmer for 1 hour.
