Braised Steak and onions in Stout Recipe
Ingredients
| Steak | 1 Pound | |
| Large onions - 2, halved and sliced | ||
| Stout - 5 fl oz(150 ml) | ||
| Worcestershire sauce | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Oil | ||
| Some seasoned flour | ||
| Salt | To Taste | |
| Black pepper | 1 To taste | |
Directions
MAKING
1 In a flameproof casserole, melt a tablespoon of oil until it's sizzling hot.
2 Evenly coat the meat in seasoned flour and add them to the casserole.
3 Brown the pieces on both sides till they're a good rich, brown colour.
4 Remove from the casserole and transfer to a plate.
5 Fry the onions to brown them well at the edges.
6 Arrange the meat on top and season with salt and pepper.
7 Pour in the stout and Worcestershire sauce.
8 Cover the casserole and transfer to the oven.
9 Cook for about 2 1/2 hours or until the meat is tender.
SERVING
10 Serve hot.
