Braised Pork Chops with Caraway Seed Recipe
Ingredients
| Pork chops | 2 | |
| Margarine | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Onion | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), sliced | |
| Salt | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Caraway seed | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Pepper | 1 Dash | |
| Water | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) |
Directions
MAKING
1 On a rack in a broiler pan, place the pork chops and broil until well browned turning once.
2 In a large skillet, add onions and saute until softened.
3 Place the pork chops over onion slices and sprinkle some salt, caraway seed, and pepper on top.
4 Saute pork, 3 to 4 minutes on each side turning once, until onion slices are browned.
5 Add water and bring to a boil.
6 Reduce the heat, cover and simmer for about 45 minutes turning chops every 15 minutes, until the meat is tender.
SERVING
7 Serve immediately.
