Braised Chick Peas Recipe
Braised Chick Peas is a delicious side dish recipe which I always love to have. I bet, once you have this, you will always crave for some more.
Ingredients
| Chickpeas | 2 Pound | |
| Chopped tomatoes | 2 Cup (16 tbs), drained | |
| Water | 3 Quart | |
| Garlic | 2 Clove (5gm), crushed | |
| 1/2 cup parsley or mint, chopped | ||
| Onions | 4 , finely chopped | |
| Ground black pepper | 1 To taste | |
| Salt | To Taste | |
Directions
Soak chick peas in water overnight.
Drain and transfer to a heavy kettle or Dutch oven.
Add water, bring to a boil, and simmer for 4 hours.
When soft add garlic, onion, tomatoes, parsley or mint, and salt and pepper.
Simmer over low heat for 20 minutes longer.
