Braised Celery With Almonds Recipe
Ingredients
| 4 cups thinly sliced celery stalks | ||
| Butter/Margarine | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs), melted | |
| All purpose flour | 1 Tablespoon | |
| 1/2 cup undiluted consomme | ||
| Toasted slivered almonds | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Pimiento | ||
| Salt | To Taste | |
| Pepper | To Taste | |
Directions
Saute celery in butter or margarine for 3 to 4 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Stir in flour, and salt and pepper.
Add consomme; cover and cook over low heat for 3 to 4 minutes.
Stir in almonds.
Garnish with pimiento.
