Cottage Cheese In Halved Tomatoes - Halloween Snack Recipe Video

This week we share two ghoulish recipes and one out-of-this-word delight, Brains on the Half-Skull with Alien Potion and Vampire Cocktails. Our Brains on the Half-Skull recipe is not only scarily delicious, but it’s also super good for you. The halved grape tomatoes filled with cottage cheese make a great snack or beautiful Halloween party hors d’oeuvres. Our beverages are good for Halloween parties too, with the frozen floating grapes adding that there is an eyeball in my drink affect. Ingredients

 
Brains on the Half-Skull:
 
1 dozen or so Grape Tomatoes
 
1 Cup Cottage Cheese
 
1/2 T. Fresh Basil, finely chopped (optional)
 
Salt and Pepper to taste
 
Vampire Cocktail:
 
Green and/or Red Grapes
 
Grenadine or Strawberry Cordial Mixer
 
7-up or Tonic Water
 
Alien Potion:
 
Green and/or Red Grapes
 
Lime Cordial Mixer
 
7-up or Tonic Water (to fill glass)
 
Green Food Coloring

Directions

Brains on the Half-Skull:
1. Cut the Grape Tomatoes in half lengthwise.
2. Next, take a spoon and scoop out the inside of the tomato, putting into a bowl.
3. Add the Cottage Cheese to the tomato insides and mix together.
4. If you choose to add Fresh Basil, mix it in with the cottage cheese at this point and the Salt and Pepper to taste.
5. Arrange all of the emptied tomato halves onto the serving plate and then spoon the cottage cheese into each half.
6. For final touches add a bit more salt and pepper and Whaaa Haa Haaa

Alien Potion and Vampire Cocktails
1. For both beverages, the steps are the same.
2. First, freeze the grapes overnight (or for a few hours at the minimum).
3. Add 7 or so frozen grapes of your preferred color to a glass. 4. Next, add two cap-fulls of cordial mixer to the glass.
4. If you’re making the Alien Potion, add a few drops of food coloring at this point.
5. Next Add 7-up or Tonic Water to fill the glass.
6. Stir the beverage (and mix the food coloring in), and serve.
