 500 g (1 lb) white ready-to-roll icing
 Green250 Gram
 25 g (1 oz) red ready-to-roll icing
 Selection of small wooden or plastic toys for decoration
 1 tube green or red writing icing
 1 metre (39 inches) fine red ribbon

Directions

1. Put the cake on the plate or board. Dust your work surface with icing sugar and roll out the white icing to a 30 cm (12 inch) square. Lay it over the cake, smoothing the icing around the sides and trimming off the excess around the base.
2. Thinly roll out the green icing to a 23 cm (9 inch) square. Use a sharp knife to trim off the edges in deep scallops.
3. Lightly brush the top of the cake with a dampened paintbrush and lay the green icing over the cake so that the scalloped edges fall around the sides.
4. Roll the red icing into small balls and secure one to the tip of each scallop. Arrange the small toys on top of the cake, securing them with dots of icing from the tube. Tie the ribbon around the base.
