Bourbon Sweet Potatoes Recipe

1 In a large saucepan,add scrubbed potatoes with boiling salted water.Cook covered for about 35 minutes or just until tender. Drain and cool slightly.
2 In a large bowl,place the potatoes and mash.Add butter or margerine,bourbon,orange juice,brown sugar,salt and apple pie spice.Beat until fluffy smooth.
3 In a buttered 6-cup baking dish,spoon the mixture and sprinkle nuts around the edge.
4 Bake in a moderate oven at 350 degrees farenheit for 45 minutes or until lightly browned.
5 Makes a great side dish.
