Bourbon Flamed Apples Recipe

2 large tart apples, cored, peeled, quartered and cut into 1/8-inch slices
 
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
 
2 tablespoons (1/4 stick) unsalted butter
 
2 tablespoons firmly packed brown sugar
 
2 tablespoons warmed bourbon
 
Sour cream or plain yogurt or creme fraiche

Directions

Combine apple slices and lemon juice in bowl and toss gently.
Melt butter in medium skillet over medium heat.
Add apples and cook, turning frequently, until crisp-tender, about 10 minutes.
Stir in brown sugar.
Add bourbon and ignite, shaking skillet gently until flame subsides.
