Bourbon Balls Recipe

1 package (6 ounces) semi-sweet chocolate pieces
 
3 tablespoons light corn syrup
 
1/4 cup bourbon or orange juice
 
1/2 cup sugar
 
1 1/4 cups crushed vanilla wafer cookies
 
1 cup finely chopped pecans or walnuts
 
1 container (4 ounces) chocolate decorating sprinkles

Directions

1. Melt chocolate pieces in top of a double boiler over simmering water; remove from heat. Blend in corn syrup and bourbon or orange juice; stir in sugar, vanilla wafer cookies and pecans until well combined.
2. Roll mixture, a rounded teaspoon-ful at a time, into balls between palms of hands, Roll balls in chocolate sprinkles to coat generously, pressing firmly as you roll. Place in a jelly roll pan; cover; chill several hours.
