Traditional Bouillabaisse Recipe
Ingredients
| Onion | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| 1 clove garlic or 1/8 teaspoon instant minced garlic | ||
| 2 tablespoons olive or cooking oil | ||
| Tomato sauce | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Water | 4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 2 tablespoons parsley flakes or 1/2 cup minced parsley | ||
| 1/2 teaspoon saffron or curry | ||
| Salt | 2 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Pepper | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Lemon juice | 1 Teaspoon | |
| 1 lb. fish fillets, cut into 2-inch pieces | ||
| Shrimp | 12 Ounce | |
| 6 oz. crab or lobster meat | ||
| 1 pint oysters or clams | ||
Directions
In 4 or 5-quart casserole, combine onion, garlic and oil.
Cook uncovered, 2 minutes.
Add remaining ingredients and mix to distribute evenly.
Cook covered, 15 to 20 minutes or until seafood is done, stirring occasionally.
Serve in large soup bowls.
