Borscht Recipe
This borscht tastes really delicious ! I love this mixed vegetable soup as an everyday appetizer. Just try this Borscht and let me know if you like it !
Ingredients
| 1 lb. raw beets, peeled and shredded | ||
| 4 cups beet water, vegetable or meat stock | ||
| Honey | 2 Tablespoon | |
| Vinegar | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Tamari soy sauce to taste | ||
| Salt | To Taste | |
| Cabbage | 1/2 Pound, shredded | |
| 1/2 cup tomato puree or juice | ||
| Yogurt | ||
Directions
Combine shredded beets and beet water (or stock) in large pot and cook covered on medium heat until beets are tender.
Add honey, vinegar, soy sauce and salt to taste.
Add shredded cabbage and cook until cabbage begins to soften.
Add tomato puree or juice and cook an additional 10 to 15 minutes.
