Bone-In Rib Roast Recipe

Bone-in Rib Roast was my family cook's signature dish, now that he's gone I have taken up the task of preparing it for the family. You can serve Bone-in Rib Roast as a yummy Side Dish. I am certain you and I will concur that this Bone-in Rib Roast is just delicious.

Ingredients

 
1 4 -to-6-lb (2 to 3 kg) loin or wing roast with bone
 
2 tsp (10 ml) paprika
 
1 tsp (5 ml) dry mustard
 
2 tbsp (30 ml) soft butter or margarine
 
1 medium-sized onion, cut in four

Directions

Cream the butter together with the paprika and mustard, Shield the tips of the bones with a 2-inch (5 cm) strip of foil.
Preheat browning dish 7 minutes at HIGH.
Place the roast in the oven without removing the dish from the oven, fat side down.
Microwave at HIGH 5 min-utes.
Baste the meat with the butter mixture.
Place the roast, fat side up, on a microwave rack or inverted saucer set in a baking dish.
Sprinkle with paprika.
DO NOT SALT.
Place the onion pieces in the bottom of the dish.
Microwave at MEDIUM 8 minutes per pound (500 g).
Remove foil after the first 8 minutes, then cook to your taste following the Beef roasting chart.
When the roast is cooked, place it on a serving dish and let stand 10 minutes, covered, in a warm place.
Prepare the gravy to your taste, as for Rolled Rib Roast or any sauce of your choice.
