Bonavista Bay Cods' Tongues Recipe
Ingredients
| Cod tongues | 24 | |
| Milk/1/2 cup all purpose flour | 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) | |
| Egg | 1 | |
| Fat | 1 Cup (16 tbs) (For Frying) | |
| Salt | 1⁄2 Teaspoon |
Directions
Rinse tongues and scrape lightly to clean.
If tongues are salted, soak them in cold water 10 minutes.
Mix flour and salt.
Dip tongues in milk and roll in flour.
Fry in hot fat 3 to 5 minutes.
