Boiled Dressing Recipe
The boiled salad dressing is a cooked salad dressing prepared with a flour and egg base. Seasoned with mustard and salt, the boiled dressing is combined and cooked to prepare. Savory and creamy, the boiled dressing is good for all kinds of salads at home!
Ingredients
| Sugar | 11/2 Tablespoon | |
| Salt | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Flour | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Dry mustard | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Egg yolks | 3 | |
| Cold water | 3/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Vinegar | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Butter | 2 Tablespoon |
Directions
MAKING
1.In a pot, mix sugar, salt, flour and mustard together
2.Now beat egg yolks slightly, then add dry ingredients, water and vinegar and mix to a smooth paste
3.Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until thickened
4.Remove from heat and blend in butter
5.When ready to use thin with cream or fold in whipped cream
