Directions

Wash broccoli and slit any heads which are particularly thick.
Fill pan half full of water and bring to a boil with 1 tsp salt.
Place 2 lbs. broccoli, ends down, in the pan with heads out of water, and cook uncovered for 10-20 minutes.
Then place broccoli so that heads are in water also, and cook 5 minutes longer.
Drain and serve seasoned and with melted butter.
Broccoli is delicious served with Hollandaise Sauce, Cheese Sauce or browned.bread crumbs
