Boiled Smoked Tongue Recipe
Ingredients
| Tongue | 1 Pound, smoked | |
| Water to cover | ||
| 1 onion studded with 1 clove | ||
| Garlic | 1 Clove (5gm) | |
| 1 stalk celery, with leaves | ||
| Carrot | 1 , sliced | |
| Peppercorns | 5 | |
| Bay Leaf | 1 | |
Directions
1. Cover the tongue with water, add remaining ingredients and cook, covered, until tender, three hours or longer.
2. Remove the root portion and the skin as for boiled fresh beef tongue
