2 onions
2 stalks celery
Enough boiling water to cover
2 leeks
2 cloves garlic
1 bunch parsley
1 bay leaf
1 sprig thyme
1 cup barley
2 carrots
2 teaspoons salt
Directions
When the water is boiling, add the lamb and all the other ingredients except the salt.
Bring slowly to a boil again and .simmer gently for 2 hours.
