Homemade Blueberry Pie Recipe
Do not fear when you have to impress a crowd. This Blueberry Pie recipe is a lifesaver. It is the answer when you look for a tasty Dessert. I have a weakness for Fruits, thus I prepare this recipe often. I cant believe you still haven't attempted to prepare my Blueberry Pie recipe.
Ingredients
vegetable shortening pastry for 2 crust pie
4 cups fresh blueberries
3/4 to 1 cup sugar
3 tablespoons flour
1/2 teaspoon grated lemon peel
Dash salt
1 to 2 teaspoons lemon juice
1 tablespoon butter or margarine
Directions
Line 9 inch pie plate with pastry.
In mixing bowl, combine blueberries, sugar, flour, lemon peel, and salt.
Pour filling into pastry lined pie plate.
Drizzle with lemon juice and dot with butter.
Place top crust on filling; cut slits for escape of steam; seal and flute edges.
Bake at 400° for 35 to 40 minutes.
If desired, sprinkle top crust with additional sugar.
