Ingredients

 Shortening1/2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Sugar1 Cup (16 tbs)
 Egg1
 Flour2 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), sieved
 Baking powder2 1/2 Teaspoon
 Salt1/4 Teaspoon
 Milk1/2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Lemon juice2 Teaspoon
 Blueberries2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Cinnamon powder1/2 Teaspoon
 Butter margarine1/4 Cup (16 tbs)
 Butter for greasing

Directions

GETTING READY
1. Pre heat an oven at 175 C (350 F).
2. Grease a 9 inch x 9 inch pan or 7 ½ inch x 12 inch pan with butter and keep aside.
3. In a small bowl, combine ½ cup flour, ½ cup sugar, cinnamon powder and butter. Mix well and keep aside.
4. In another bowl, combine berries with lemon juice and mix well. Keep aside.

MAKING
5. In a medium sized bowl, combine 2 cups flour, baking powder and salt. Sieve together. Keep aside.
6. In a medium sized bowl, combine ½ cup sugar, egg and shortening. Beat till light and fluffy.
7. Add sieved flour and milk and mix well.
8. Spread on to greased pan and top with berries.
9. Spread crumb mixture evenly on berries and bake in pre heated oven for 60 minutes or till done.
10. Once baked, remove from oven and keep aside to cool.

SERVING
11. Place on a serving tray and serve warm.
