Blue Cheese Tenderloin Steaks Recipe
Blue cheese beef steaks are broiled beef steaks with a mix of cream cheese, blue cheese, yogurt and pepper. Seasoned with garlic, salt and pepper, this blue cheese broiled beef steak recipe is good with green beans or steamed veggies.
Ingredients
4 beef tenderloin steaks, cut1 inch thick (recipe may also be prepared using beef top loin steaks cut 3/4 inch thick)
2 tbs. cream cheese, softened
4 tsps. each crumbled blue
cheese and plain low fat yogurt
2 tsps. minced onion dash white pepper
1 lg. clove garlic, halved
1/2 tsp. salt, divided
2 tsps. chopped parsley
Directions
Combine cream cheese, blue cheese, yogurt, onion and pepper; reserve.
Rub each side of beef steaks with garlic.
Place steaks on rack in broiler pan so surface of meat is 2 - 3 inches fronuheat-.
Broil 5-6 minutes.
Seasorewith 1/4 tsp.salt.
Turn and broil 3- 4 minutes.
Season with remaining salt.
Top each steak with an equal amount of reserved cheese mixture.
Broil an additional 1 - 2 minutes.
Garnish with parsley.
Serving suggestion: Serve with steamed green beans with fresh lemon.
