 1 Cup Oleo or Butter
 Brown sugar2 1/4 Cup (16 tbs)
 Eggs4 standard
 Flour2 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), sifted
 Baking powder2 1/2 Teaspoon
 Salt1 Teaspoon
 Vanilla1 Teaspoon
 1-12 Oz. Pkg. Semi-sweet Chocolate Morsels
 Walnuts1 Cup (16 tbs), chopped

Directions

Melt shortening in a large (6 quart) saucepan.
Add brown sugar.
Blend well.
Remove from heat and cool 10 minutes.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Add dry ingredients.
Mix well.
Add vanilla; mix well.
Add chocolate chips and walnuts; mix well.
Spread in greased pan (15" x 10" jelly roll pan) and bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes.
Cool and cut into squares.
