Blackberry Sauce Recipe
Ingredients
5 cups fresh blackberries
1 cup water
3/4 cup sugar
2 tablespoons water
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 tablespoon lemon juice
Angel food or sponge cake
Directions
Combine berries, 1 cup water, and sugar in a large saucepan, bring to a boil.
Combine 2 tablespoons water and cornstarch, mixing well, stir into blackberry mixture.
Cook 1 minute over medium-high heat, stirring constantly.
Remove from heat, and add lemon juice; cool.
Chill.
Serve sauce over angel food or sponge cake.
