Ingredients
Pastry for double-crust 9-inch pie
4 cups fresh blackberries
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 to l 1/2 tablespoons lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon butter or margarine
Directions
Line a 9-inch pieplate with half of pastry, set aside.
Combine berries, sugar, flour, lemon juice, and salt in a bowl, toss well.
Spoon berry mixture into pastry-lined pieplate.
Dot mixture with butter.
Roll out remaining pastry to 1/8-inch thickness, and cut into 10 (10- x 1/2-inch) strips.
Arrange strips in lattice design over pie, and trim edges; seal and flute.
Bake at 350° for 50 to 55 minutes (cover edges with foil to prevent overbrown-ing, if necessary).
