Ingredients

 Blackberries1 Pound
 Sugar1 Cup (16 tbs)
 Water8 Cup (16 tbs)
 Lemon juice1
 Strip of lemon rind

Directions

Boil all ingredients except sherry together for 20 minutes.
Strain and chill thoroughly.
Serve with 1 tsp (5 mL) sherry per glass, if desired, and ice cubes.
