Black-Eyed Peas Supreme Recipe
Black eyed peas supreme is a peas and onions recipe made with wine vinegar. Flavored with garlic, the black eyed peas is seasoned to taste and is best served after chilling overnight for a mature taste and flavor.
Ingredients
2 (1-pound) cans black-eyed peas, drained
1 onion, sliced into thin rings
1/2 cup olive oil
1/4 cup wine vinegar
1 medium clove garlic, mashed
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon salt
Pepper to taste
Directions
Place peas and onion in ovenproof bowl.
Combine oil, vinegar, and seasonings in small pan; bring to boil.
Immediately pour over peas and onions; stir gently.
Refrigerate several hours or overnight.
When thoroughly chilled, flavors will all blend together.
