Black Walnut Bar Cookies Recipe
Ingredients
| Firmly packed brown sugar | 1/2 Cup(16 tbs) | |
| All purpose flour | 1 Cup(16 tbs) | |
| Butter/Margarine | 1/2 Cup(16 tbs) | |
| Firmly packed brown sugar | 1 Cup(16 tbs) | |
| Eggs | 2 , beaten | |
| Salt | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| All purpose flour | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Vanilla extract | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Flaked coconut | 1 1/2 Cup(16 tbs) | |
| 1 cup chopped black walnuts | ||
Directions
Combine 1/2 cup brown sugar and 1 cup flour.
Cut in the butter.
Press into a 10-inch square pan and bake at 375° for 10 minutes.
Cool.
Mix 1 cup brown sugar with beaten eggs, salt, 1 teaspoon flour, vanilla extract, coconut and black walnuts.
Put this on the previously baked crust and return to oven.
Bake for 20 minutes at 375°.
Remove and cool before cutting into bars or squares.
