Black Grape Juice Recipe
Ingredients
| Black currant grapes, 1 kg. | ||
| Sugar | 1 Kilogram | |
| Water | 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Citric acid, 8 to 10 gms. (1 1/2 to 2 teaspoons) | ||
| Sodium benzoate, as required | ||
Directions
Wash grapes.
Place them in liquidiser jar and liquidise for 30 seconds.
Strain juice through nylon filter cloth or sieve.
In the residue, add 1 cup of water and liquidise again.
Strain this and mix the two extractions.
Combine juice and sugar in a pan and place the pan on fire.
Dissolve citric acid in one cup water and mix it with the juice.
Remove from heat, when sugar is dissolved.
Let cool thoroughly.
Add preservative (dissolved in a tablespoon water) in the proportion of 1 gm. per 1 kg. (4 cups) of finished product.
Fill the juice in sterilized bottles leaving a gap of 1 1/2 inches on the top.
Cork and seal.
