Black Eyed Peas Recipe
Ingredients
| 1/2 pound black-eyed peas, soaked for 4 hours and drained | ||
| Celery stalks | 2 | |
| 1 yellow onion, peeled and chopped | ||
| Red pepper flakes | 1 Teaspoon, crushed | |
| Ham | 1/2 pound, smoked | |
| Salt | To Taste | |
| Pepper | To Taste | |
Directions
Place all the ingredients in a pot, and do not quite cover with water.
Simmer, covered, for about 30 minutes, or until tender
