Bittersweet Brownies Recipe
Bittersweet brownies are delicious and chocolate brownies made with unsweetened chocolate and frosted with bittersweet chocolate frosting. Baked with butter vanilla and nuts the bittersweet brownie is a delightful dessert to serve anytime.
Ingredients
1 1/2 cups pecans
1/2 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 eggs
1/4 cup soft butter
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 squares unsweetened chocolate, melted
Directions
Heat oven to 350°.
Grease a 9 square pan.
Blender chop pecans, empty onto waxed paper.
Sift flour, baking powder and salt onto waxed paper and set aside.
Put eggs, butter, sugar and vanilla into Osterizer container, cover and process at BLEND until smooth.
Remove feeder cap and add melted chocolate, continuing to BLEND until smooth.
Add flour mixture gradually through feeder cap opening.
Stop Osterizer and add nuts, mixing into batter with a rubber spatula.
Spread into prepared pan and bake 20 30 minutes.
Cool and frost with Bittersweet Chocolate Frosting.
Cut into bars or squares.
