 Eggs3 , beaten
 Sugar1 Cup (16 tbs)
 Butter/Margarine1/4 Cup (16 tbs)
 Flour11/2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Baking powder11/2 Teaspoon
 Walnut halves1/2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Brazil nuts1/2 Cup (16 tbs)
 1/2 cup dates, cut in halves
 Maraschino cherries1 Bottle (1l), undrained
 Semi-sweet chocolate2 Ounce, cut into pieces

Directions

Combine eggs, sugar, butter, flour, and baking powder and beat until smooth. Add to batter the walnuts, Brazil nuts, dates, cherries and juice, and chocolate. Mix only enough to distribute the ingredients. Bake in loaf pan, lined with greased and floured waxed paper, for at least 1 hour, or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean and loaf is well browned. (Bread may be baked in small cans or miniature loaf pans for gift-giving.)
