Biscuit Tortoni Recipe
Biscuit Tortoni is a simple Italian dessert. It is a combination of mousse and ice cream. It is light and consists of eggs, macaroons, heavy cream and almonds. It is simple and easy to make and awesome to taste. You will enjoy the dessert.
Ingredients
Heavy cream-2 cups
Confectioners' sugar-1/3 cup
Egg whites-2
Almonds-1/4 cup minced, blanched and toasted
Sherry-1 1/2 teaspoons
Macaroons-as needed
Directions
MAKING
1)In a bowl, beat cream until thick but not too stiff, then add sugar.
2)In another bowl, beat egg whites until stiff and fold into cream.
3)Add macaroons, almonds and sherry.
4)Take small paper cups and pour the mixture into it.
5)Sprinkle macaroon crumbs on top and put in freezing trays of automatic refrigerator and freeze until firm.
SERVING
6)Serve the biscuit tortoni chilled.
