Biscotti Recipe
Awesome!!!! This recipe of Biscotti is just out of this world. This yummy yummy Biscotti recipe is a gift of the Italian cuisine. I prepare this yum Biscotti as a Snack every month or even more often. There's no point pondering anymore, try out this Biscotti right now!
Ingredients
1/2 c. soft butter
1 c. C & H granulated sugar
4 eggs
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. anise seed
2 tsp. anise extract
4 1/2 c. flour
1 c. almonds, coarsely chopped
Directions
Cream in large bowl butter and sugar.
Beat in eggs, one at a time.
Add remaining ingredients to form a stiff dough.
Gather dough and knead into a ball.
Put ball on a large cookie sheet and roll into a log the length of the cookie sheet.
(Dough may be divided into 2 or 3 parts for smaller biscottis.) Press log into Winch thick even rectangle.
Bake in a preheated 350° oven for 30 minutes.
Remove from oven and slice into 3/4 inch thick strips.
Turn, cut side down, on cookie sheet.
Return to oven and toast 5 to 10 minutes on each side.
Cool on rack and store cold in container.
