Bhindi Do Pyaaza Recipe

Ingredients
500 gm lady fingers cut into 1" pieces diagonally
4-5 tbsp oil
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
2 onions thinly sliced
1 onion cut into 8 pieces and separated
1/4 tsp turmeric
1 tsp chilli powder
1 tsp salt
4 tbsp tomato puree
GRIND TOGETHER
2 tsp fennel
1 tbsp coriander seeds
1 tsp cumin seeds
Directions
Grind together fennel, coriander seeds and cumin seeds in a small spice grinder to a powder.
Keep aside.
Heat oil in a large flat kadhai or wok, add 1/2 tsp cumin seeds and let them rum golden.
Add sliced onions and stir till soft and transparent, for about 3-4 minutes.
Add lady fingers.
Stir for 2-3 minutes.
Cover and cook on low heat for about 10 minutes till the lady fingers is soft.
Keep stirring in between.
Add the onion pieces and cook for 2 minutes.
Add the prepared fennel powder, turmeric, chilli powder, salt and mix well for 2-3 minutes.
Add the tomato puree.
Mix well for 2 minutes and serve hot.
