| All-purpose flour -2 cups | ||
| Salt | 1 Dash | |
| Ghee- as necessary | ||
| Baking powder | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Plain yogurt | 1/3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Egg | 1 Small | |
| Warm water -as necessary | ||
Directions
MAKING
1)In a bowl, mix together flour and salt, 1 teaspoon ghee and the next 3 ingredients. Add water to make soft and elastic dough.
2)Cover it with a damp cloth and keep in a warm place to rise to double.
3)Knead the dough again to let air escape and divide into 8 portions.
4)Roll each portion in to a flat disc smaller than chapatti and bigger than puri.
5)In a wok heat ghee upto smoking point and deep fry the bhaturas until light golden and puffed up. Drain.
SERVING
6)Serve hot bhatura with chola.
