 All purpose flour2 Cup (16 tbs)
 1 teaspoon each soda and salt
 Sugar2 Tablespoon
 2 slightly beaten eggs
 Buttermilk2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Butter2 Tablespoon, melted

Directions

Sift together dry ingredients.
Add remaining ingredients; stir just till moistened.
(There will be a few lumps.) Bake on hot, lightly greased griddle.
(For uniform cakes, use a 1/4-cup measure.) Turn cakes when bubbles on surface break.
Serve with Whipped Orange Butter and syrup.
Makes about 1 1/2 dozen 4-inch cakes.
