Best Of The Wurst Spread Recipe
Ingredients
| Butter/Margarine | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Onion | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), finley chopped | |
| Liverwurst package | 1 | |
| 1/4 cup mayonnaise or salad dressing | ||
| Dill pickle | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs), finely chopped | |
| 2 teaspoons horseradish mustard or spicy brown mustard | ||
| Capers | 1 Tablespoon, drained | |
| 2 teaspoons dried dill weed | ||
| Dill pickle | 1/4 Small, cut into strips | |
| Cocktail rye bread for serving | ||
Directions
Heat butter in small saucepan over medium heat until melted.
Add onion; cook and stir 5 minutes or until tender.
Mash liverwurst with fork in medium bowl; beat in onion, mayonnaise, chopped dill pickle, mustard, capers and dill weed.
Form liverwurst mixture into football shape on serving plate; decorate with dill pickle strips to look like football laces
