Berry Compote Recipe
This berry compote is one of my best summertime desserts that fill my kitchen with a heavenly smell everytime I make this. Prepared with fresh summer berries of choice, the berry compote is made with water and dessert wine along with sugar and is best served chilled!
Ingredients
| Strawberries/Raspberries | 1 Pint | |
| Water | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Sugar | 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) | |
| White dessert wine | 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) |
Directions
Wash and hull berries.
Put into a glass bowl.
Boil water with sugar 5 minutes.
Pour over berries and add wine.
Let stand 2 hours before serving.
Chill, if desired.
