Berries In Custard Sauce Recipe

Ingredients

 
1 3 5/8- or 3 3/4 -ounce package instant vanilla pudding
 
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
 
1 pint fresh strawberries

Directions

Prepare pudding according to package directions, but using 2 1/2 cups milk and adding vanilla.
Chill about 30 minutes or until mixture is the consistency of custard sauce.
(If mixture gets too firm, beat with rotary beater till smooth.) Cut any large strawberries in half; sugar all lightly.
Pile berries in dessert dishes and spoon the custard sauce over
