Directions
Gradually beat in sugar until mixture is soft and fluffy.
Beat in egg until smooth.
Combine flour and baking powder and stir into creamed batter.
Add vanilla and sesame seeds and mix well.
Onto greased cookie sheets drop by teaspoonfuls about 1 1/2 inches apart.
Bake at 325 degrees 12 to 15 minutes, then remove immediately from sheets.
If cookies harden before they are removed, return to oven to soften.
Store in tightly covered container or freeze.
NOTE TO COOK: Five dozen cookies are more than you will need for twelve people.
But they are always nice to have and keep well, especially in the freezer.
They are ready almost at a moment's notice because they defrost quickly.
