Benne Wafers Recipe
Ingredients
| Butter | 3/4 Cup (16 tbs), melted | |
| Firmly packed light brown sugar | 1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Vanilla extract | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Egg | 1 | |
| Sesame seeds | 1 Cup (16 tbs), toasted | |
| All-purpose flour - 1 1/4 cups, sifted | ||
| Baking powder | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
Directions
MAKING
1 In a bowl, cream butter and sugar together.
2 Mix in vanilla and egg and beat until light.
3 Fold in the seeds, flour, baking powder, and salt.
4 On to greased cookie sheets, drop the mixture by 1/2 teaspoonfuls.
5 Allow for spreading.
6 Bake in a preheated moderate oven at 375 degrees fahrenheit for 10 minutes.
7 Immediately remove from the pans.

8 Serve as desired.
