2 cups beer
 
2 cups sweet white wine
 
1/2 cup sugar
 
1 cinnamon stick
 
Rind of 1 lemon, cut into strips
 
4 egg yolks
 
1/2 cup warm milk
 
1 tablespoon cornstarch dissolved in 1 1/2 tablespoons water

Directions

Place the beer, wine, sugar, cinnamon and lemon rind in a saucepan and heat slowly.
In a small pan, beat the egg yolks into the warm milk and place over low heat.
Add the cornstarch mixture and stir constantly until the mixture thickens.
Do not allow it to boil.
Add the egg yolk mixture to the heated beer, stirring constantly.
Remove the pan from the heat.
