Belfruit Sherbet Recipe
Ingredients
| 4 large woodapples | ||
| Sugar as needed | ||
| Water | 1 Liter | |
| Juice of 1-2 limes | ||
| Salt | 1 Pinch | |
Directions
Break open fruit.
Lightly oil your hands and remove all seeds and stringy part of fruit.
Mash fruit and weigh.
Weigh an equal amount of sugar.
Pass fruit through a sieve, adding a little water to facilitate straining.
Mix puree with water and sugar.
Cook till thick.
Add lime juice and salt.
Cool, bottle and store in refrigerator.
Excellent for a weak stomach.
